Bassett Lowke
Bassett Lowke produce a range of gauge O locomotives that are made from sheet metal using soldered constrution and reflect those made in days gone by. Bassett Lowke will be producing a limited number of each livery style and move onto the next item. Those involved in the production of Bassett Lowke have a knowledge of trains and the aim is to produce a good value, quality product. These products are made with wheel standards that will allow reliable running on most comercially available O gauge track systems. The recommended smallest radius being 36".

DCC
DCC or Digital Command Control enables you to drive the train and not the track. It works by putting a constant voltage on the track and overlaying it with signals to your locos. Inside each loco there is a decoder which receives commands from the base station and tells the loco what to do. Each loco has a different address and can be fitted with a variety of different decoders from a basic 1 or 2 function model up to a multifunction sound and light operating module.

Dolls House
One of the country's biggest adult hobbies. We sell everything from a doorknob to a completely built, lit and decorated house.

Paint and Accessories
We stock acrylic paints from Humbrol and Revell as well as brushes and air brushes. In our real shop we sell glues and enamel paints which we are unable to send mail order.

Slot Car
What is a slot car? My definition of a slot car is a very nicely detailed model of a real car that you would actually recognize. To slot fans, detail and accuracy of the model is important, an unrecognizable car that just goes fast is a non starter. The car is fitted with an electric motor and a guide blade that fits into a slot in the track. Either side of the guide blade are to twisted braid electrical pick ups to transfer track current to the motor. You, the driver, can several feet away with a controller in your hand and the more you "squeeze" the controller, the faster the car goes, let off the trigger and the car slows down. The car will follow the slot in the track and find it's way around the circuit. So you put the car on the track, with the guide in the slot, pull the trigger and off goes a great looking and performing slot car, and you're having fun. A common question is will all 1/32 slot cars work on any brand slot car track? The answer is yes all modern, readily available 1/32 slot cars will work just fine on all branded slot car track.

Books and Catalogues
We stock annual catalogues from Hornby, Bachmann, Graham Farish and Peco and also track plan books and general railway interest literature. Additionally we stock Railway Modeller and Hornby magazine each month.
